A Crash is not always a Crash

There has been a lot of coverage lately about the Tiger Woods accident and the so-called "gatecrashers" or "party crashers". Tareq and Michaele Salahi did what was previously thought impossible and unthinkable. They "crashed" a White House party.

Or did they?

Now why is this even such news? Why is there so much talk about it? Why do you even have some Senators and Representatives calling for criminal charges?

Look at it this way. No matter what you feel about Barack Obama...no matter if you agree or disagree with his politics and policies, that is not the issue.

The issue was the unauthorized access to the Office of the President of the United States of America. This was a major security breach at best. And if the Salahi were bent on doing some damage, they could of easily carried out such an attack on the President, his guest and the White House itself.

The Secret Service had a major lapse in security and I don't care who you are, you cannot blame the Salahi's for this. All they did was show up.

So what if they lied. Did they have the credentials and clearances to enter the party? From what everyone involved is saying, they did not. So even if the couple said they had an invite, if there name was not on the list and they had no written invitation then how did they get in?

To blame the Salahi's is ignorant at best and just plain passing the buck at worst. The lapse was on the Secret Service and the White House staff.

The other issue is, the Salahi's have been spotted in a picture with then Senator Barack Obama back in 2005 leading some to think that the president knew the Salahi's if even in passing. In other words, they were not total strangers to the president.

If this is true, and by the pictures it is true, then it it possible that some White House staffer recognized the couple and gave them the green light to enter the party.

In any event, this was a breakdown of communication and security and it put the Office of the Presidency at risk which is inexcusable. It also showed that if someone really wants to get at our president, that it is totally possible, which is unacceptable.

If the White House were smart, they would just say that the president knows the couple from events when he was a senator and that indeed were or should have been invited. Then quietly investigated how the breach of security happened and taken care of it.

Instead, we have opened a Pandora's box and now the whole world knows just how vulnerable our leader actually is.

Then again, this could be a stern warning to our president that his enemies be they domestic or foreign, are sending a message, "Barack we can get at you anytime we want."

Now that indeed, is a sobering thought.

Taking a Pay Cut

There is a lot of buzz of late about what the so-called "Pay Czar" Kenneth Fienberg will do in relation to Wall Street fat cat pay and bonuses.

Now we all remember the phony outrage over the AIG bonuses paid out at the beginning of 2009. I say phony because Congress knew when the bonuses were going to be paid and how much those bonuses were going to be yet none of them objected. In other words, they approved of the bonuses.

Now fast forward to this week. You have an un-Constitutional policy maker in the form of a czar that will determine what 25 top executives in each of the 7 largest government bailed out firms will earn.

You may be saying "good its about time" because you may think they earn too much. Well yes, earning $100 million in total compensation from a company that nearly went out of business does seem to be a bit excessive. OK so its very excessive. However, that does not give the government the right or the power to limit pay.

Now understand something. Competition is still in high gear here in the USA and abroad. Garnering the top executive talent is more important than ever before. Now I ask you, who is going to take over the helm of a troubled company, try and turn it around by working monster hours, not to mention having government regulator breath down your neck daily causing you numerous headaches for a measly $200k per year?

Before you say you would, you better think again. Lets just say you are a top executive and you are in demand. Would you go to work for a company that is not heavily regulated by the government and can pay you $500 or would you work for a company that is still in financial trouble, heavily regulated by the government and can only pay you $200k? Well unless you are a total moron, you would go for the easier half million payday.

We are talking about private sector jobs hear people. Now how about all those public employees? You know the people who get paid by our tax dollars. Yes, those idiots who sit in Washington, D.C. and draw a paycheck from We the People.

Now understand those czars really don't do a darn thing to add to the bottom line of this nation or its citizens or the private companies. Yet these people pull down hefty incomes. At last count I found there were some 36 czars in the employ of the Federal Government each pulling down a salary between $150 thousand to $175 thousand dollars per year.

That is very close to what those senior executives that add to the bottom line of our nations gross domestic product will be able to earn under Obama.

Also notice how these executives will no longer be RICH. Yes that is right, they will no longer be wealthy. Remember during the campaign Obama pegged rich as anyone earning $250k per year or more.

These executives have just been demoted to not rich. And if it can happen to them, it can happen to you. Unless of course, you go to work for the government. Then you could earn a comfy salary, do hardly anything, make waves by saying you are doing something and in the end, end up rich. But don't worry, if you look at those who occupy the halls of power, you won't have to pay much if any taxes on your new found wealth.

Obama wins and USA loses

This is Friday right? It is the last day of the work week for many of us right? So usually I jump out of bed with a little extra spring in my step. Is it because I hate what I do? No I love what I do.

But I know that Saturday and Sunday will give me a little respite from the usual political hackery that goes on in our nation's capitol. But this Friday morning I got to my desk and turned on my computer and the first thing I saw was that President Barack Obama had just been notified he won the Nobel Peace Prize.

I thought I was still asleep and this was some form of nightmare brought on by cereal and popcorn I had for dinner which I washed down with two cups of java late last night.

Well it was either a very bad dinner or the Witches of Eastwick had cast a spell upon my head and this was the side affect.

I read the story with great interest actually. Yes, I was surprised as well. But as I read further I found something very interesting that lead me to believe this was nothing but a set up from the very beginning.

You see, the nominations for this Nobel of all prizes had to be in by February 1, 2009. Now Obama didn't take office until January 20, 2009. So the man was in office for all of 11 days when someone, somewhere put his name in the hat.

No my friends, this was a set up from the very day the world found out he won the election back in November 2008. They planned for this.

After all, what could Obama have done in less than two weeks to rate high enough on the Nobel Committee's list? He certainly didn't do any thing as a US Senator. He most certainly did not do anything of note as an Illinois State Senator. And he was unheard of as a community organizer or as a college professor. So what did Obama do?

After all, the man who now occupies the Oval Office initiated a surge in Afghanistan as one of his very first military moves. Not very peaceful. But he did run around the world a few times saying he was sorry for America. He said America was mean and nasty and just plain rude to the rest of the world and that he would not let that happen under his watch.

He wanted the world to love us as he kissed leaders' rings, hands and feet. He bowed to a tyrant King. He allowed a dictator to hug him. He encouraged a communist nation to buy more and more of our debt and private companies. He agreed that the USA used more than its fair share of world resources and vowed to punish his people with a new tax.

Yes the world fell in love with Barack Obama. Or at least the thugs, criminals, dictators and One World Order enthusiast did. That is what the Nobel Committee is made up of in part. Just like the United Nations. Hate the USA and you are their friend.

So Obama made it clear during his campaign that he would hate the USA and strive to punish us for being a Super Power. The Nair do wells fell in love. A plan was hatched. Now Obama gets to lavish himself in more wealth, thanks to a bunch of Leftist thugs who live in the worlds best country as voted on by the United Nations.

I think that says all you need to know about Obama. Do you think Obama will share some of his prize money with his brother in Kenya who lives in a hut? Nope? Yea, that's what I thought as well.

Is it Insanity or Ignorance?

We have a battle in Afghanistan that is going badly. More soldiers die almost daily. We have an economy in the tank and all you hear from the lame stream media is that this is going to be a "jobless recovery." Forget the fact that such a statement is a plain oxymoron.

You have a deficit growing and growing and growing. You have three nations, including one of our allies, asking for a new world currency instead of the Dollar. Throw in there that two rogue nations are moving ever closer to having a nuclear weapon and you have to wonder, is our President INSANE or just IGNORANT?

President NObama is worried about green house gases so much that he has signed yet another executive order telling all government agencies they need to cut green house gases and gas use and water use by 2015 to 2020. Forget the fact that Obama will be out of office by then and that a more sane President will most likely roll that order back.

All the while he is telling the government to cut back, he is jetting off to places around the country and the world. Hell, he even thought he could steel the Olympics for his adopted city with just a speech and a smile. And in order to do that he had to use not one, but TWO jets to fly over the "Pond". Oh yes it took two jets.

You see, Mrs NObama had to fly in her own jet. So yes, the American tax payer paid for two jets not to mention the carbon footprint that had to leave behind.

Yet NObama still thinks its OK to order government to use less. I guess this is another case of 'do what I say not what I do'.

Frankly I think its time that NObama just come clean and admit how ignorant he really is. Then maybe we can get someone in office with a little common sense. The good Lord knows this arrogant idiot doesn't have any.

The annointed one has no cloths

The polls, and I mean ALL polls, even the most Liberal of polls show that Obama is slipping. He is losing his touch. His approval ratings in some very good and pretty accurate polls have his approval rating below 50 percent for the very first time.

I must say, I don't think Obama knows how to handle having people not liking what he is doing.

First of all you should know I am not one to believe in polls anyway. They are too easy to manipulate with even a single word in a question. What does interest me is that even the most Liberal of polls show he is not liked very well anymore.

Now some will try and say that Obama is no different than President Reagan at this point in his first term. Well yes he is different.

Reagan during his recession wasn't trying to take over the health care industry and he wasn't talking about raising anybody's taxes. Obama is talking about raising taxes and fees and he wants to take over the entire health care system at a time when he is the cause of record deficits that outpace any president in our history.

So you see there is a huge difference. Not to mention Reagan could communicate to the people without a teleprompter. By the way, what the hell does "wee wee up" mean anyway?

Although the press are trying feebly to circle the wagons around Obama, it is Obama that has caused his own Waterloo. He has lied to the people and the people know it. And there is no way to explain his way out of it. He tells people they are lying about health care when the people are simply reading the proposed bill that Congress wrote and published. Nice touch. Tell a person that what he is reading is a lie when the very thing they are reading is written by you or your left wing buddies.

Maybe Obama should be pricing land in his Half Brothers neighborhood. After Obama wears out his welcome with the American people, Kenya may be the only place on earth where he can live out his days in peace. Oh wait, there is Cindy Sheehan. I am sure she will track him and George Bush down no matter where they go. Then again, it really is hard to get rid of a real and true left wing nut job.

One question the press should as is, how can Sheehan afford to stay on Martha's Vineyard while the President and the first family vacation? Who is bankrolling this excursion into Liberal wing nut-dome?

Then again, we are talking Martha's Vineyard in the state of Massachusetts. You can't get much more left wing nut job than that outside of Washington, D.C. and California.

Maybe someone should take a poll "will you be vacationing with the President on the Vineyard this year?" I'm sure polls would show more than 75 percent of the American people will not.

I had a dream

I cannot comprehend why the mind does what it does while it sleeps. I cannot understand why my mind would give me such a movie and then let me remember it. I cannot think of a good reason for having this dream. All I know is that I had it, and I remember it.

In some strange way, this dream has affected me. It has affected me in a way that dreams sometimes can. They can change your perception of reality. They can give you a sense of knowledge that you previously did not have. They can give you insight. They can even, on rare occasion, in some fashion, predict the future.

So what could I have dreamed that could have affected me enough to write about it? Let me tell you.

I don't know how I arrived there but that does not matter anyway. All that matters is that I was there. In the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. I was standing there in the Rotunda in the central part of the building. I was gazing upward marveling at the dome when all of a sudden I was surrounded by men in dark suits and dark glasses.

One stepped forward and simply said, "Sir, please come with us." I remember not dropping my gaze from the dome. I remember that there was an unusual bright light shining down from the dome that day. I remember telling this well dressed man, without dropping my gaze from above, "I'm sure you do."

They lead me down corridors that the general public is not usually allowed to travel. These were dimly lit halls with row upon row of closed doors. I remember saying to my escort crew, "Will we enter the first open door? Or will we walk until we run into the wall?"

There was no answer. But eventually we stopped. We stopped in front of a closed door. The door had symbol on it that I was not familiar with. The front man of the group opened the door and gestured with his head that I should enter. I did so alone.

The room was brightly lit. A rather stark contrast to the hallway I just exited. The room was sparsely furnished but I could hardly notice because on the large wooden desk sat a dark figure. It was Barrack Obama.

"I hear you are one of my biggest critiques and I wanted to meet a fellow black brother to ask him personally why he hates me so."

My reply: "Mr President, I hate no man but what you intend to do to our country is nothing less than criminal. I don't even really know you so how can I hate you? I only hate your policy."

"Well, Mr Eccles, it is time you get to know me. The real me. The personal me."

The next thing I knew I was in the Presidential Limo sitting next to President Obama. The ride was the most comfortable rides I had ever been in. I do remember saying out loud, "I gotta get me one of these."

We arrived at the White House and Michelle and the girls met us at the door. Michelle gave me a big hug as I got out of the car. I did not hug back. I did tussle the hair of both girls. Then Barrack gestured for me to follow him. The funny thing is, his Secret Service detail did not follow.

He gave me a private tour of the White House...the living quarters of the First Family and the West Wing. We entered the Oval Office and the first thing I noticed was that the carpet was dirty and needed to be cleaned.

"Bush had a going away party. They are coming next week to replace the carpet." Said Barrack.

"Is that part of your plan for creating jobs?" I retorted.

"You see, that is the kind of thing that hurts me, Mr. Eccles. I only mean to do what is best for our nation. For our people. And you are keeping me from doing it."

He sat behind what I would call a raggedy desk of wood. Barrack looked up at me and said, "This was President Lincolns first desk at his law office."

I don't remember all that was said after that. The next thing I knew, I was in the private bedroom of the First Couple. "You see, Rod, we are just like you and everyone else. We eat and sleep just like you."

I ended up spending two whole days in the White House with the Obama's learning about them all. Getting to know them.

It was only a dream. It was only a dream. And today when I saw our President on TV giving a news conference, I felt I was looking at a friend, at a person whom I knew. Yet in reality I know nothing about this man.

In reality, what I see is someone who needs to be stopped because what I have learned in my dream is he a man determined to force his will upon us all. That will will destroy the America we know. I feel like I know exactly what this man will try and do. I feel like I now know exactly what this man is capable of.

So was it a dream or was it reality.

Have the masses lost the faith?

Today I was driving around in my beloved state of New Hampshire. I was in Dover, NH to be exact. I was downtown Dover. Yes, there is a downtown in Dover.

As I was driving through town, something caught my eye. Three people were standing in the cold. Yes these three people caught my attention. They looked a little cold. Well it was a bit windy in the Granite State today. But it was not all that cold if you could stay out of the wind. In this day and age of global warming, wind chill factors still make things feel colder than the actual air temperature.

But then in New Hampshire, I have often seen small numbers of people standing in various downtown squares. I have often seen them huddled in the cold in the dead of winter as well.

But these people were protesting. They were holding signs. They were showing their displeasure about our political system. But wait. George Bush is no longer President and they have the new messiah as the new President, they would not have any reason to protest.

But then I took a gander at one of the signs. "Tell Obama we want peace now." And another said, "Obama needs to listen to the people and give us peace now."

Now they are getting it! Obviously, they didn't get what Obama said he was going to give them. Obviously Obama is still supporting Israel and still fighting the war on terror. They must have thought that the war would end on January 21, 2009. They must have thought that Israel was going to be on their own on January 21, 2009.

Yet even though we on the right side of the political isle tried to tell them this would happen, they ignored us.

Now they stand out in the cold holding signs just as they did when GW was in the White House. Only this time, it is their guy who is ignoring them. It is their guy who is thumbing his nose up at them. It is THEIR guy who is not living up to what he promised.

Forget the fact that Obama is moving forward to making the government the biggest it has ever been in history. Forget that Obama is moving forward to take control of our health care system. Forget the fact that Obama is moving to nationalize certain industries and businesses. Forget the fact that he is going to close Gitmo and move or release the remaining prisoners of war that are held there.

No, they have not gotten peace. And the messiah was supposed to make everyone love the USA. The messiah was supposed to have everyone in the world sue for peace. We would have peace breaking out all over the world if we elected Obama.

We elected him, and yet they still stand half frozen on small town squares holding signs demanding peace.

Nice to know that the intellectual crowd really know who is best to lead our nation.

Stimulus package, I think not

OK, Today is Wednesday, January 28, 2009. It happens to be my parents anniversary today. So it is important that I note this day as the beginning of the end. The end of a free nation as we know it. The end unless you and the rest of the American people wake up and take action.

Sure there are a few people out there sounding the warning. There are a few who are riding the horse in the night. There are a few who shout "the British are coming, the British are coming."

But we don't mean the English this time. The danger comes from our own government. The very government that is supposed to be protecting our freedom and liberty that our forefathers secured for us from the British are now the new British. And they are becoming more oppressive than King George. And I don't mean either George Bush.

We now have a new king. King Obama. Or maybe he fancies himself to be an emperor. And his number one governor is Nancy Palosi. And the American people seem to be oblivious to what they want to do despite the warnings of patriots such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Micheal Savage, Laura Ingraham, and others.

This anniversary of my parents can be marked as the death of the USA as we know it. Why do I say that. Congress has passed the massive "stimulus" package backed by President Obama. I'm sorry, I meant to say, Emperor Obama.

Most of the so-called experts agree, this package will do nothing to help the economy but it does do a lot to expand government and it forces our children and grand children and even our great grand children to pay for it. Which they will not be able to do. The debt is too great to pay back. That means those who footed the bill will force even more changes upon us.

There is only one thing now that can save our nation. It is called revolution. Do I mean by force of arms? Not needed IF the American people wake up and start voting these tyrants out of office. Bullets will not have to fly and blood will not have to be spilled IF the American people stop thinking that the government should take care of them and start getting back to what our forefathers thought...take care of yourself.

This stimulus package goes back door to what Bill and Hillary tried to do front door. It gives us National Health Care. It takes your choice away from you. And it leads us down the road to total socialism. A road that has ended in disaster for every nation that has gone down that road. It is history and history is fact.

We are a nation that mirrors the beginning of the end of Rome. Yet we have the opportunity to take a different road. We have the chance to do what our Founding Fathers did and effect real change and re-institute freedom and liberty. The very liberty and freedom they fought and died for. The very freedom and liberty they told us was fragile.

We cannot turn our backs on everything our Founding Fathers stood for, died for, sacrificed everything for. We cannot be so selfish as to think we deserve from others what we have the ability to do for ourselves. We are not the Soviet Union, so why do we wish to embrace so willingly the same things that caused the demise of that form of government?

Some of you who read this may think that Rush and others like him need to be silenced. But is that not what Hitler did in the 1930's? He silenced the opposition and that gave him free reign to do what he did.

Before you go thinking that I am a nut, ask yourself this. Why is it that any and all programs that are supposed to help you and your family mandatory? Why can you not opt out if you wished? Think about it. If Social Security is YOUR money, why can't you opt to not pay such a tax and invest your hard earned money yourself?

The answer, my friends, is blowing in the wind. And an ill wind it is. Mark this anniversary as the day I gave you the final warning. Mark this day and when the time comes, I won't have to say I told you so because you will know that you were warned numerous times by numerous people that your freedom and liberty was in danger.

There is a TV commercial by Absolute Vodka. In this commercial, it shows that the police and those who stand against them use feather filled pillows as weapons in their battle. It depicts a world that meets its conflicts with violence that is harmless. Unfortunately, this is not an "Absolute World" and those police are ready to use real and deadly weapons against you and your family and friends.

I will close this lament with this statement from Benjamin Franklin, one of the Founding Fathers. Those who give up a little freedom for security deserve neither.

Indeed, those who are willing to give up a little freedom for security will certainly not have ANY freedom nor security at all. Now do you think you are wiser than the men and women who fought to give you the freedom you are now so willing to give away? I'm not.

This cannot be happening

Is it my imagination or has Obama foreshadowed how is going to rule. Yes I said rule not govern. Did he just tell everyone, including those idiots who voted for him. Yes, if you voted for Obama I just called you and idiot. That goes for friends, family and loved ones. You are all idiots.

Look at what you have given us. Don't worry, I don't just blame the Obama voters. I also blame the Republican Party who gave us McCain as a candidate and I blame the media that gave us Obama and McCain.

Now we have a government that is less open than it was under any president in recent memory. I mean, you have a new President that has issued more Executive Orders in his first week in office than any other Chief Executive in our nation's history. Yet you don't hear a word about this from the media.

President Obama also chose to sit down and talk with the Arabs before he talked to the American People. The people he is supposed to represent. The people who make up the nation he says is in the middle of the worst economy since the Great Depression. Yet he chose to talk to the Arabs first.

Not to mention, this president is still fighting everyone and anyone who wants to take a look at his real birth certificate. You have to wonder, now that he is in office, why is he still hiding it?

Then you add the fact that Obama says he will listen to all ideas on how to get the economy rolling again but he then tells the Republicans they need to stop listening to Rush Limbaugh. I guess Obama feels that Rush is a bigger threat to him than a terrorist.

Now the Democrats are trying to introduce the "fairness doctrine" again. So that means people like Rush, Sean Hannity and others with a true Conservative voice will be silenced. Is this the kind of change you voters of Obama asked for. I didn't think so.

Do you want your tax dollars funding abortions in Mexico and other countries across the globe? How about having late term abortions actually called partial birth abortions? Those are back due to an executive order from Obama.

And what about Obama not giving us any detail on the things he wants to do? We get a Press Secretary that is an idiot and cannot tell us a damn thing. And some of you lamented about Bush not telling us anything or seeming to be the height of arrogance. Yet you say nothing as Obama shows us the epitome of arrogance. He is basically telling the American people he is not responsible to us.

The point is Obama and his puppets, Palosi and Reed, are the Mt. Everest of arrogance. Have you seen the swagger when this guy walks? Have you heard that this guy has the highest approval ratings of any president in history. IN HISTORY? I think not. They have not been doing polls for our nations entire history. Not to mention approval ratings don't mean crap. Do you think Abraham Lincoln would have a 90% approval rating? No he would not. The main reason is because he is a Republican and even though he fought to keep our nation united and to insure freedom for ALL men, the media would still hate him. They would hate him because he would be a Conservative Republican. And all Conservative Republicans are evil in their book.

Well, evil does have a face and the media has put that face in the White House. That face doesn't think it has to respond to the nation it leads. That face will attempt to do what ever it wants when ever it wants. You think these recent executive orders are it? You have not seen anything yet.

I will not bow down to a King Obama. I will not shut up when an Emperor Obama tells me to. You will find the truth here. You will find that my warnings, other conservative warnings were right and on the money all along about his guy. The point is, will you and the rest of America realize their mistake before its too late?

Now, I am usually a very big optimist but people didn't care before the election so I don't think they will care after the election until it is too late. But I won't say I told you so. I will be too busy fighting to protect liberty and the Constitution of the United States of America. I just hope we can hold on until 2012 because if we make it that far, Obama will be one term if he doesn't suspend the Constitution and thus rendering himself ruler of the world. Don't laugh, he already has shown contempt for the American people what makes you think he wont think himself a king? Time to get off the sofa and get involved. You lose what you don't use and you are about to lose your liberty and freedom.

Not something I usually talk about

American Idol is back again for, I do believe, season 8. American Idol is a spin off from a British show titled Idol. I do believe there are a lot of Idol spin offs for different nation around the world now.

Now I am sure you are wondering what the hell is Rod doing talking about pop culture. There is good reason. If you are the parent of a teen or a pre-teen you will definatly understand from where I come from on this.

American Idol is, at least for the moment, the appitomy of "pop culture". It tells us a lot about ourselves, our nation and believe it or not, our government. Hell, look who we elected. We elected a TV Star. But I digress.

Idol is back and it has added a judge to the panel. I have watched Idol in the past and I have seen one episode this season so far. To tell you the truth, I have not really watched Idol since its first season. I think it is a blight on our culture and I will tell you why.

Sure they may help talented singers noticed. But all to often it is not the most talented that wins or even goes on to make it to the top 10. It is often about the superficial things such as look and attitude.

Just take a look at all the Idol winners that you don't hear from anymore. There have been 7 of them. And often even the runner up and others in the top 4 have been said to have great promise. So lets do the numbers. Seven seasons of Idol multiplied by the top 4 of each season gives you 28 "contenders". How many of those 28 do you hear from today? By far Kelly Clarkson is the most successful of the bunch but she was also the very first American Idol. I could name off a few others but most of the 28 have disapeared.

Yet these are the people that our kids and young adults look up to. Oh yes, here comes the connection. Those young people will vote. Those young people have voted. Those young people helped put Obama in office. Come on now, you must have seen at least a few episodes of Idol.

How many times has the kid with the good looks and quirky but "cool" attitude gotten the votes over the one who really had promise and talent. Remember Sanjaya? Come on, you cannot tell me you honestly think this kid had huge talent over all the others that he beat out. Not on your life. But he was very cute. He was very quirky and he had the swirling ingima of possibly being gay. Oh how cute is that?

Now you may think, "kids will be kids". At one point in time that was true. We kids grew up. But think about it. Today we have kids that never really grow up. They expect their parents and the government to do everything for them. They seem to think they are owed popularity and success. Yet they can't even put two sentences together.

Back to Sanjaya. He recently did an interview and showed off his "new" look and talked about his new memoirs book. MEMOIRS? The kid is all of what, maybe 20! Yet they did an interview with this kid. Sure he has facial hair now so he look older. Actually he looks like a 15 year old with facial fuzz and really long dark hair. But again I digress.

Listening to this interview, I was in horror. This kid can influence an entire generation by what he says. And trust me what little he does say he does NOT say it well.

Which leads me back to Obama. Now our 44th President. Get this guy off his prepared speech and he really can't speak. Articulate? Please. But he was helped by those who would think Sanjaya is cool and cute.

You still think kids will be kids and eventually grow up? Maybe its time you grew up.

Settling in with Obama as President

And so the “reign” of Obama begins. It started out a little rough with both Chief Justice Roberts and President Obama messing up the Inaugural lines. It was a bit comical at first but then you realized, this is something these two should have had down pat. No excuses.

But they are human and it would be petty to target Obama on this slip up. But since President Obama is not quick on his feet (we have seen him stumble on more than one occasion when he is not reading from a script or prompter) you know this will not be the last time he screws up with his words.

Obama waisted no time in halting the trials of Guantanamo prisoners. You can say Obama has now launched a war on the war on terror. He seems to want to give these prisoners of war the same treatment as a citizen who has committed a crime.

Obama has also extended a hand of friendship to our enemies. In his speech he pledged to shack the hand of our enemies if they would only but extend an open hand other than a fist. How many times have these same nations extended a false open hand only to have their fingers crossed behind their backs with the other hand?

Of course you had all the news outlets just fawning all over the Inauguration. They were so giddy it was sick. You have to ask yourself how fair and balanced are they going to be with this guy during his first (and hopefully only) term? Don't rely on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC and to some extent even Fox News for fair and honest and balanced coverage of this guy. Seriously, they all were in love with the moment, the day, the history.

For the record, this was an historic day, true. HOWEVER, every time we install a new President, it is an historic day. Our nation makes history every time we peacefully change the hands of power. Just because this guy had a darker complexion of skin should not have even been more than an anecdote. Seriously.

Martin Luther King, Jr. would have been filled with joy to see Obama elected, if he agreed with and liked his character. Remember, MLK wanted a world that did not judge a person by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. Does Obama have the kind of character that MLK would have liked and voted for? To be honest, probably not.

MLK talked about being free at last. President Obama talked about a free people doing great things. Yet most of Obama's ideas focus on taking choice and freedom from the people and placing that power in the hands of the government. Remember, if the government has the power, you don't have the freedom. Pretty simple.

Lastly, will I give this new President a chance to succeed? If that means he gets what he wants in the form of Socialism then I would have to say “HELL NO!” I will not stand by and watch him turn my nation into a new France or a new Germany or a new Russia. Hell No! I won't stand by and let him strip me further of my freedom and liberty. Government is NOT the answer. Government is the problem.

President Obama, I will give you time to get settled in your new home. Oh, hold on, you are in the White House now. You occupy the Oval Office now. I think you are settled. Now time to get to work for you, me and every American citizen. I for one am all settled in on spreading the word on what you intend to do. Along with all your friends on Capitol Hill. If you even speak or think of stripping any of my freedoms, I will be there on your “door step” fighting you.

Yes, I am a Patriot. I cling to my guns and religion and my rights and freedoms. I cling to the documents of freedom, the Deceleration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States of America, the Bill of Rights and the Bible. You can have those documents when you tear them from my cold, dead hands.
