Does Obama really want to save the environment

>

The environment. That is one of the big topics on just about everyone's tongue these days. We know about the Global Warming hoax now. It is irrefutable. It is so irrefutable that it is no longer called Global Warming, it's called Man-Made Global Climate Change.

That is bad enough to deal with, but now we have President-elect Obama talking about “green” technology taking the place of oil and other fossil fuels for our energy needs. It is in his “bail-out” plan for the nation.

The problem is that Obama is willing to reduce our choices while not really improving technology for alternative fuels and energy. There is not much in there to reduce the red tape in getting alternative sources of energy on the grid. We still have environmental crap on the books that keeps even a windmill from being built.

Speaking of windmills, when it comes to choices for alternative sources of energy, we already have a ton of them. Now many of these alternatives are rather pricey on the front end, we do have those choices. Have you noticed the lack of promotion of these current and proven technologies by our government? Its because they don't do anything to “halt” the evil automobile.

Yes, you have all kinds of alternative choices for energy for your home and business. Lets see, there is geo-thermal heating for home and business. Yes, it is a proven method of heating and cooling a home and business. But do you hear our government promoting such heating and cooling systems? Now I wonder why that is.

Solar systems have come way down in cost and have gone way up in efficiency. They are still expensive to install but the payback is real, fast and significant. But do you see our government touting these systems or even using them in government buildings? No. Now why is that?

Windmills are highly efficient, well at least ultra clean ways to generate energy. So why is our government blocking wind farms from coast to coast? Oh sure, they can be noisy but no one said these farms had to be built near residences or businesses. There are a lot of wind farms in the planning stages to be located in remote areas and off shore but our government and environmental wackos are blocking them and keeping them from being built. Now why is that?

Hydro and geo energy plants are being blocked as well. We are more concerned about the fish than we are about energy. Geo energy is not viable in most parts of the country but in the areas that it is, new plants are being blocked by environmental groups. Trust me, the earth is not going to mind if we take a little of its heat and produce energy from it. But these wackos think we will harm the environment with these plants.

Instead we have our government touting things like ethanol. A fuel that has been proven to lower gas mileage in cars and trucks. Not to mention it cost a ton to produce and it takes valuable food sources off our tables and drives up the cost of corn and other food stuffs. How does that make sense?

Our government also want to ban incandescent light bulbs. True, fluorescent and other types of bulbs are more efficient than incandescent but what happened to choice? Not to mention if we actually implemented at least part of the Pickens Plan, we would take a lot of pressure off the environment but again we have government and environmental groups to thank for blocking much of this plan.

If our government was serious about conserving energy and coming up with alternatives, then why do they not use current and viable alternatives in government buildings now? Why do they not promote these alternatives by buying these green alternatives to be used by government employees? Do you see a fleet of of natural gas powered or electric powered cars in our government fleets? In fact, why don't we have a fleet of Prius cars in our government lots?

Because this environmental push has nothing to do with actually saving the environment or saving you or I money on energy. It has everything to do with controlling you and me and reducing our freedom. Seriously. When you have sources of energy that are clean and renewable already on the books and in use, why not promote them and use them? Think about it.

Then when Obama and his band of minions talk about saving the environment, ask them why we are not using any of these alternatives already. Ask them why they don't promote the use of such alternatives already. Ask them if they really want us to be energy independent or if they are just blowing smoke and making laws to control you and me. I think you will find it really is the later. Think about it.
