On occassion I come across something that makes so much sense that I have to talk about it. The Southern Avenger, in the video below, makes so much logical sense that it is hard to disagree with him on anything.
However, he does get a few facts wrong about the Iraq war and the War on Terror but he nails it on the "religionizing" of political and social issues. Especially when it comes to Global Warming.
The idea that being a Conservative or a Liberal should thus dictate what you believe should not even enter a thoughtful humans mind. But all to often, we subjugate ourselves to what we believe instead of what the data of the day reveals.
The SA makes a case that so-called science once told us, and was taught in school, that blacks were biologically inferior to whites and that homosexuals were mentally ill and could be "fixed" with phyciatric treatment and drugs.
Of course those are not the only examples. We were fed a steady diet of ridiculous notions such as we were taught back in the day that women did not have a head for politics or were too emotional to be national leaders. I think Margaret Thatcher dispensed with the too emotional and no head for leadership nonsense.
We have also brushed aside the notion that blacks are in some way biologically inferior as evidenced by our current president. He is very intelligent, good looking and very capable as a human being. Capable as president is another matter.
We note that we have another female Secretary of State who follows a black female Secretary of State. Obviously women can get the job done, all be it the current SS is a bit under utilized but that is a good thing.
So what about this Global Warming thing? Well, what about anything that seems to have a "scientific consensus"? It usually stems from those in power wanting to keep and expand that power. Its all about control which is why when evidence comes about to contradict the current status quo, it is bashed, lambasted and even ignored. Its about control not about seeking the truth. Making blacks inferior was about controling them. Saying women didn't have the temperment for leadership was about keeping control over them. Telling you Global Warming exsist even though scientific data says otherwise is about controling you and me and our every day lives.
True conservatives recognize control and work to thwart it at every turn. Yes sometimes we get sucked into the murky mire of desire and political ease but in the end we usually pony up and admit our mistakes and recognize it is not control that we seek but rather liberty, justice and freedom for all.

Political Science or Political Religion?

What did we learn
The off season elections took place yesterday. There were some wins, some losses. What did we learn from them? Did we learn anything at all?
First and foremost, I would hope that the GOP learned a huge and valuable lesson. Although I will not hold my breath on that one. It seems the Republican Blue Bloods are quick to spin the elections almost as fast as the Democrats.
Clearly from what most of us on the right side of the political isle can see is that there was a massive shift back to the right. There was also a massive rebuke of our sitting president. After all, Obama put a lot of political clout on the line when he went to bat so heavily for Corzine of New Jersey.
The biggest lesson the GOP and the Democrats should learn comes from Upstate New York where an upstart, never before elected, Doug Hoffman almost walked away with the prize.
Hoffman did not get the nod as the GOP nominee in the special election. The GOP instead appointed a liberal Republican to run against a liberal Democrat. Hoffman, rightfully so, did not see that the voters had a choice in that match up so he put his hat in the ring.
No big money backers, no party backing. Just a grass roots effort that almost paid off. But wait, it did pay off and it paid off big time.
Hoffman not only began to raise money and get his message out even though he was not being covered at first by the Lame Stream Media, he moved up in the polls and he moved up rather fast.
So fast was his ascension that the Republican Nominee withdrew from the race at the last minute because she was polling a distant third. But then of course as we all knew, the Republican nominee, being as liberal as she is, put her support behind the Democrat. That caused the GOP to scramble to back and support, although from afar, Hoffman.
The lesson is that Hoffman was a clear conservative cut from the Reagan cloth. People began to hear his message and they began to agree with it. All the Democrats could do was pray that the clock would run out on Hoffman and try to stunt his growth by saying there was too much "outside" influence in the campaign. Which is very laughable since Hoffman did not have big money backers like the Democrat Owens did.
What the GOP should have learned is that Reagan Conservatives still live and breath and that this is what the people really want. True conservatives. In fact, it looks as though some dozen Republicans will be facing stiff competition for nominations for their seats in the 2010 mid-term elections. True Conservatives have put the GOP on notice. Shape up or they will vote you out.
That is the lesson the GOP should have learned.

A world of free energy
There has been a lot of talk over the past couple of decades about energy, oil in particular. The environmentalist wackos want us to regress back to the Dark Ages. Oil men want us to drain every single drop of the Texas Tea from the earth.
Then you have the, how can I put this nicely, IDIOTS talking about Global Warming even though science is proving on a near daily basis that Man Made Global Climate Change is not and cannot happen.
We have President Obama and Democrats and other Liberal groups all over the world telling us that we need to FIND alternatives. We have governments spending the money of hard working people all over the world on researching "alternative" fuels.
Listen up folks, we already have alternative fuels available to us to power nearly every car, truck, home, light bulb, dishwasher, computer, hot water heater or just about anything else you can think of that uses oil, gas, electricity or even hot air.
Thats right, we already have the alternatives. And they are clean alternatives. And NO I am not talking nuclear power. (I am not a huge fan of nuclear power anyway and it really has nothing to do with what to do with the waist. Its just expensive and the danger from our enemies to attack these plants is just too great.)
Now you may be asking what alternatives do we currently have? Good question. The answer is not "clean coal" although it can be in the mix. It is not bio fuels. Why the hell would you want to take food for humans and turn it into fuel? Makes no sense when you have other alternatives that are cleaner and more efficient.
I'm talking about WIND, SOLAR, GEO THERMAL and ... Hydrogen. Yes hydrogen. No hydrogen does not have to be dangerous. No hydrogen does not have to be liquefied at super cold temperatures. No hydrogen does not have to be packed as a "fuel cell" which is rather inefficient and costly.
Lets take a look at wind: We can't build wind turbines because environmentalists say they kill birds or spoil the natural beauty.
Lets take a look at solar: We can't build solar fields because it kills lizards, rare flowers and other animals on the ground and spoils the natural beauty.
Lets take a look at geo thermal: We can't build more geo thermal because they are big and ugly buildings and it is limited to a very small part of the country.
Lets take a look at hydrogen: We can't use hydrogen because we don't have the technology to produce it cheaply or fast.
The above are all myths. Yes MYTHS. First of all, just about every single home in the nation can benefit by putting a small wind turbine and solar panels on their property. Will people be able to get all of their energy needs from these energy producing resources? For most of us probably not, but you could reduce your external energy consumption by up to 80%.
How about geo thermal? Simply put, you can heat and cool your home or building using a geothermal system. Yes it is a little more expensive than a traditional oil or gas heating system but it will pay you back in quick order and you wont need to supplement your heating and cooling needs with external resources. And geo thermal is clean and quiet.
Hydrogen? Well, a company called United Nuclear has come up with a devise that can let you MAKE your own hydrogen from your own water. Check it out here.
Now if a homeowner or building owner were to use all of the above, they could reduce their external energy needs up to 100% and even be able to sell the excess power back to the local power grid. (Imagine if just 25% of US homes and buildings were able to send clean power back over the power grid instead of taking it from that grid)
Why has not the world governments pushed for this kind of evironmentaly sound energy production? Because all of those above alternatives do not produce a drop of green house gas. That means they cannot regulate, tax and control it.
Come on people, use your head now. We have cars that run on compressed air engines. We have the ability to make our homes mini power plants and not put a lick of green house gas in the air. We have the ability to affordability turn every gas car and truck into a hydrogen vehicle. Again, producing not a lick of green house gas.
So why does our government and other governments and the United Nations ignore all of this? It all has to do with money and control. For crying out loud, Saudi Arabia is now talking about needing financial assistance from the rest of the world when oil stops being the main source of energy production.
Still think this is not about control and money? Think about it, if we had free or nearly free, endless, clean energy would their be a need for so much regulation, taxation and reduction? No. Still don't think its about control and money? You need to re-read this post then.

Would You Get Stuff Like This for Bush or any other Conservative?
This is scary to say the least. The video below shows how our kids are being brainwashed into thinking that Obama is somehow the messiah. It is dangerous. It is just downright evil at its best.
Would you get such a positive response if this kind of thing was done in support of ANY Conservative President? Do I really need to answer that question? I didn't think so.

Is it Insanity or Ignorance?
We have a battle in Afghanistan that is going badly. More soldiers die almost daily. We have an economy in the tank and all you hear from the lame stream media is that this is going to be a "jobless recovery." Forget the fact that such a statement is a plain oxymoron.
You have a deficit growing and growing and growing. You have three nations, including one of our allies, asking for a new world currency instead of the Dollar. Throw in there that two rogue nations are moving ever closer to having a nuclear weapon and you have to wonder, is our President INSANE or just IGNORANT?
President NObama is worried about green house gases so much that he has signed yet another executive order telling all government agencies they need to cut green house gases and gas use and water use by 2015 to 2020. Forget the fact that Obama will be out of office by then and that a more sane President will most likely roll that order back.
All the while he is telling the government to cut back, he is jetting off to places around the country and the world. Hell, he even thought he could steel the Olympics for his adopted city with just a speech and a smile. And in order to do that he had to use not one, but TWO jets to fly over the "Pond". Oh yes it took two jets.
You see, Mrs NObama had to fly in her own jet. So yes, the American tax payer paid for two jets not to mention the carbon footprint that had to leave behind.
Yet NObama still thinks its OK to order government to use less. I guess this is another case of 'do what I say not what I do'.
Frankly I think its time that NObama just come clean and admit how ignorant he really is. Then maybe we can get someone in office with a little common sense. The good Lord knows this arrogant idiot doesn't have any.

Warnings of the past comes true today
President Ronald Reagan predicted what we are facing today. We have a man in office who thinks he knows what is best for you and me down to our health care. He cares not for what you think or believe. It is his time to "fundamentally transform" the United States of America.
And if you appose his policies, then you will be labeled a racist. How vial. How evil. How immoral. How un-American.

Did we win one?
I just learned that Green Jobs Czar Van Jones has quit. Yes, NPR is reporting that "Czar Jones" has resigned his post at the White House.
He claims he quit because of a "smear campain" against him. I am still trying to figure out how people on the left side of the political isle, or any isle for that matter, can get away with calling the truth a smear campain.
How is telling the truth using ones own words a smear? It isn't. The reason it becomes a smear is because the one who said the convicting words wants to hide from those words.
Think about Obama telling people he is not for taking over the health care industry when he is on record numerous times saying he is for a Single Payer System. He has even given a time line as to when he would like to have that system in place. But he says that those who point out those facts are using scare tactics and a smear campane against him.
Well what was so controversial about Mr. Jones? Asside from the fact that he is an avowed communist, he said that he believes that the 9-11-01 attacks were the work of our government.
Oh sure, there are some others here in the USA that feel that somehow the government of the United States had a hand in the destruction the World Trade Center Towers. But none of those kooks works in high places of government. At least none that we know of.
However, Van Jones, is nothing more than a huge black communist. Black in the terms of his race. Although he is black in the terms of stealth as well. He wants to do things from a secret position. This position was that of a Czar appointed by Obama and accountable to no one.
Well, Mr. Jones thought he could get away with being in stealth mode but people out there in America found the things that Van said, wrote, supported and tried to bring about into reality. He has his own self serving agenda to blame, not some smear campane that really is nothing more than the truth.
You could say this is a minor win for those who fight for liberty and freedom. You could say that this is a small step forward in taking back the country in which they love so dearly.
Yes, Van may have quit, but we still have some 47 or so Czars to go. And, indeed, we have the biggest Czar of them all to get rid of...Barack Obama. Lets hope that more Czars vacate their positions due to public pressure because of the truth being reported. And then let us hope and pray that in 2012 we are able to vote out Obama and in his stead, put someone who still believes in our nation, our freedom, our constitution.

Rahm and Obama are not Change artists
Barack Obama campaigned on change. Change from the old politics. Change from the grid lock in Washington in the past. Change, change, change.
The real truth is that Obama and his Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel are nothing more than old dog Democratic politicians trying to play both sides of the coin. They view this health care reform debate as a win-win for them.
The Young Turks make sense in this video. Lets face it, America voted in the last election for change based on the rhetoric spewed by Obama and Emanuel. Instead what we got was the good ol' boys with a different skin color and ethnic background.

The Obama Czars Want to Control Speech
The scary thing is this. There are those who want to control every aspect of your life. In fact they even tell us they want to control every aspect of your life. They don't care about the Constitution or the Bill of Rights.
What they want is power and pure power. Many of Obama's Czars have said and continue to say things that directly oppose the Constitution and your rights. But the media does not report any of this. The Lame Stream Media doesn't report on anything that affects your rights unless it is something that a conservative does.
Remember this, if those who are popular are silenced, what do you think will happen to you and your family? You will be silenced as well.
Jefferson said that a nation in fear of its government is nothing more than a nation of subjects but a government in fear of its citizens is a free republic.

Sympathy doesn't change the facts
I am sitting here going nuts. I am having a hard time keeping my cool. I am sure my medical emergency someday will be due to a heart attack from stress. The question is why did I have the stress and will the government pay for my treatment to keep me alive.
The answer to the second part of that question is, in my opinion in which I believe with all my heart is, no. I am a conservative and as such I don't believe in government run health care. I am sure someone at some point in the future is going to look at my record and decide that since I was so against the government, it would be better for everyone (at least the government) if I were to no longer be on this earth.
Now make no mistake about it. I am a Christian and I firmly believe that when I am absent from this earthly body, I will be in the presence of my Lord in heaven. So for me to die by natural causes is not a fear that I have. The point is will I be helped along by those in power because I did not agree with them in taking control of my health care.
The first part of the question begs another question...why did I have so much stress in the first place? The answer is a simple one. My government gave me the stress.
I tried listening to a Blog Talk Radio talk show this evening that was talking about health care and the reform that our government wants to foist upon us all. It was even disguised as a "faith" talk about health care reform.
Now understand this, Christ Himself would not go for government control of health care. But some of our so-called faith leaders seem to think that health care is a right granted to us by God. It is not. You don't even have a RIGHT to eat. Think I am wrong? Then well answer this question. If eating is a RIGHT then why is it not the case that our government owns and operates every single grocery store in the land? Hey, eating is far more important than health care. You can live for a long time with out going to the doctors office. But you can only last so long without eating.
We have even people of "faith" who are willing to lie for the left because they think it shows sympathy. Well, it doesn't. True sympathy would be to help others help themselves. The old wise tale of feeding a man with a fish and teaching him to fish applies in every aspect of our life including health care.
We have seen that by giving humans something that they feel doesn't cost them anything often leads to those things becoming highly expensive and highly over used. Don't believe me? How often do you think people would go to their doctor if all they had to do is pay five or ten dollars out of their pocket? Very often as it turns out. They go even for a simple cold.
Why is it then, that nearly every other country with government run health care rations that health care in some form or another? Is it out of sympathy? Not it is out of cost control.
Simply put, you cannot control cost on the healthy. You cannot control cost on those who do NOT use the health care system. You can only control cost on the sick. You can only control cost on those who DO use the system.
So the question should be, if all of you who support so-called health care reform, will you complain when it does not live up to your expectations? Because by its very nature and design it cannot.
Will you curse health care on your early death bed or will you praise the wisdom of some government board who denied you life saving or life extending care?
Yea, I didn't think so.

I had a dream
I cannot comprehend why the mind does what it does while it sleeps. I cannot understand why my mind would give me such a movie and then let me remember it. I cannot think of a good reason for having this dream. All I know is that I had it, and I remember it.
In some strange way, this dream has affected me. It has affected me in a way that dreams sometimes can. They can change your perception of reality. They can give you a sense of knowledge that you previously did not have. They can give you insight. They can even, on rare occasion, in some fashion, predict the future.
So what could I have dreamed that could have affected me enough to write about it? Let me tell you.
I don't know how I arrived there but that does not matter anyway. All that matters is that I was there. In the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. I was standing there in the Rotunda in the central part of the building. I was gazing upward marveling at the dome when all of a sudden I was surrounded by men in dark suits and dark glasses.
One stepped forward and simply said, "Sir, please come with us." I remember not dropping my gaze from the dome. I remember that there was an unusual bright light shining down from the dome that day. I remember telling this well dressed man, without dropping my gaze from above, "I'm sure you do."
They lead me down corridors that the general public is not usually allowed to travel. These were dimly lit halls with row upon row of closed doors. I remember saying to my escort crew, "Will we enter the first open door? Or will we walk until we run into the wall?"
There was no answer. But eventually we stopped. We stopped in front of a closed door. The door had symbol on it that I was not familiar with. The front man of the group opened the door and gestured with his head that I should enter. I did so alone.
The room was brightly lit. A rather stark contrast to the hallway I just exited. The room was sparsely furnished but I could hardly notice because on the large wooden desk sat a dark figure. It was Barrack Obama.
"I hear you are one of my biggest critiques and I wanted to meet a fellow black brother to ask him personally why he hates me so."
My reply: "Mr President, I hate no man but what you intend to do to our country is nothing less than criminal. I don't even really know you so how can I hate you? I only hate your policy."
"Well, Mr Eccles, it is time you get to know me. The real me. The personal me."
The next thing I knew I was in the Presidential Limo sitting next to President Obama. The ride was the most comfortable rides I had ever been in. I do remember saying out loud, "I gotta get me one of these."
We arrived at the White House and Michelle and the girls met us at the door. Michelle gave me a big hug as I got out of the car. I did not hug back. I did tussle the hair of both girls. Then Barrack gestured for me to follow him. The funny thing is, his Secret Service detail did not follow.
He gave me a private tour of the White House...the living quarters of the First Family and the West Wing. We entered the Oval Office and the first thing I noticed was that the carpet was dirty and needed to be cleaned.
"Bush had a going away party. They are coming next week to replace the carpet." Said Barrack.
"Is that part of your plan for creating jobs?" I retorted.
"You see, that is the kind of thing that hurts me, Mr. Eccles. I only mean to do what is best for our nation. For our people. And you are keeping me from doing it."
He sat behind what I would call a raggedy desk of wood. Barrack looked up at me and said, "This was President Lincolns first desk at his law office."
I don't remember all that was said after that. The next thing I knew, I was in the private bedroom of the First Couple. "You see, Rod, we are just like you and everyone else. We eat and sleep just like you."
I ended up spending two whole days in the White House with the Obama's learning about them all. Getting to know them.
It was only a dream. It was only a dream. And today when I saw our President on TV giving a news conference, I felt I was looking at a friend, at a person whom I knew. Yet in reality I know nothing about this man.
In reality, what I see is someone who needs to be stopped because what I have learned in my dream is he a man determined to force his will upon us all. That will will destroy the America we know. I feel like I know exactly what this man will try and do. I feel like I now know exactly what this man is capable of.
So was it a dream or was it reality.

What Obama Believes
Now I have read just about everything. Obama seems to think that China is manipulating their money. Hmm. You think?!
This has been an issue since the Clinton Administration. President Bush did nothing to try and stop this madness and other nations that deal with China economically have done little if anything to address this issue with China.
Now Obama is going to do something about it? Didn't Obama praise the Red State during the campaign? Didn't Obama lavish praise on this nation for its really great infrastructure?
Obama loved their modern ports. He loved their new damn projects. He loved their new road systems. He loved how they were building high rise tower after high rise tower and all the underground pipes and electrical that go along with those towers.
He was beside himself because he thought the the US ports were inferior to those of China. He railed about our crumbling roads as compared to the new and gleaming roads in China. He gritted his teeth at how bad our electrical grid was designed and maintained and thought China had much to teach us.
Now he tells us he thinks China is manipulating its currency. But he probably won't do much about it at this point because it may aggravate the trade deficit we have with China.
What makes him different from Bush or Clinton in this regard? Where is the change we can believe in. It is becoming very clear that the only change this guy is for is taking away your freedom and liberty but everything else will probably stay the same.

Settling in with Obama as President
And so the “reign” of Obama begins. It started out a little rough with both Chief Justice Roberts and President Obama messing up the Inaugural lines. It was a bit comical at first but then you realized, this is something these two should have had down pat. No excuses.
But they are human and it would be petty to target Obama on this slip up. But since President Obama is not quick on his feet (we have seen him stumble on more than one occasion when he is not reading from a script or prompter) you know this will not be the last time he screws up with his words.
Obama waisted no time in halting the trials of Guantanamo prisoners. You can say Obama has now launched a war on the war on terror. He seems to want to give these prisoners of war the same treatment as a citizen who has committed a crime.
Obama has also extended a hand of friendship to our enemies. In his speech he pledged to shack the hand of our enemies if they would only but extend an open hand other than a fist. How many times have these same nations extended a false open hand only to have their fingers crossed behind their backs with the other hand?
Of course you had all the news outlets just fawning all over the Inauguration. They were so giddy it was sick. You have to ask yourself how fair and balanced are they going to be with this guy during his first (and hopefully only) term? Don't rely on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC and to some extent even Fox News for fair and honest and balanced coverage of this guy. Seriously, they all were in love with the moment, the day, the history.
For the record, this was an historic day, true. HOWEVER, every time we install a new President, it is an historic day. Our nation makes history every time we peacefully change the hands of power. Just because this guy had a darker complexion of skin should not have even been more than an anecdote. Seriously.
Martin Luther King, Jr. would have been filled with joy to see Obama elected, if he agreed with and liked his character. Remember, MLK wanted a world that did not judge a person by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. Does Obama have the kind of character that MLK would have liked and voted for? To be honest, probably not.
MLK talked about being free at last. President Obama talked about a free people doing great things. Yet most of Obama's ideas focus on taking choice and freedom from the people and placing that power in the hands of the government. Remember, if the government has the power, you don't have the freedom. Pretty simple.
Lastly, will I give this new President a chance to succeed? If that means he gets what he wants in the form of Socialism then I would have to say “HELL NO!” I will not stand by and watch him turn my nation into a new France or a new Germany or a new Russia. Hell No! I won't stand by and let him strip me further of my freedom and liberty. Government is NOT the answer. Government is the problem.
President Obama, I will give you time to get settled in your new home. Oh, hold on, you are in the White House now. You occupy the Oval Office now. I think you are settled. Now time to get to work for you, me and every American citizen. I for one am all settled in on spreading the word on what you intend to do. Along with all your friends on Capitol Hill. If you even speak or think of stripping any of my freedoms, I will be there on your “door step” fighting you.
Yes, I am a Patriot. I cling to my guns and religion and my rights and freedoms. I cling to the documents of freedom, the Deceleration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States of America, the Bill of Rights and the Bible. You can have those documents when you tear them from my cold, dead hands.
What say you, America? Are you a true American or do you think the government is here to support and take care of you?

Giving Obama a chance.
The time has come. My head is slung low. I am in shame because my country has openly elected a Socialist to be President. Today is the last day of the George W. Bush Administration and he is not going to waist any time getting out of Dodge.
Don't get me wrong, I am not one of those total GW fans that swoon every time his name is mentioned. There is plenty I have railed against GW on during his eight years in office. The biggest thing I hated was most of the Patriot Act.
There were plenty of other things as well but that goes for just about any President. I didn't always disagree with Bill Clinton but it is safe to say that I disagreed with him more than I agreed.
So now we will begin the era of Barack Obama. Already right out of the gate, I don't like him. Now I keep hearing the line “give him a chance.” I have thought about that long and hard. At first I said of course I will give him a chance. But as I thought about it, what am I giving him a chance on or for?
He has not really done anything since being elected to warrant my giving him a chance. In fact in one of his speeches since being elected, he has stated that “only government can fix...” Hold on a minute. That is not freedom. That is socialism. I will not give someone a chance to turn my country of freedom and liberty into the land of France or Sweden or even Germany.
Our nation has been in economic troubles before and we have always come out of those troubles. Usually without a ton of government intervention or programs. But we seem to be heading down the road to socialism with smiles on our faces.
We are collectively patting ourselves on our backs having had the “courage and strength” to elect a non-white man to be our President. We shouted for joy as Obama preached about “change.” We got tingly feelings running up our legs overtime Obama spoke.
We are a nation that now views appearance or substance. Thank you MTV and Hollywood. If it looks cool and pretty, then we buy it. If it sounds neat and cool then we buy it. Forget the reality or the substance of the thing or person in question.
Have you taken a walk down a mall recently? Seriously think about how much substance there is in that mall vs. the appearance. Everything looks beautiful. All the models that show the clothing you are supposed to by are thin and beautiful even if the clothing is for “bigger” people, those big models are still rather shapely and beautiful.
We are made to believe that if we buy those closes, or get that hair style or dab on that cologne, we will be as beautiful on the outside as those models. Now we have a president that sounds beautiful, to many he even looks beautiful and to be certain he has a beautiful family. Tall, thin, looks to be in great shape. He tells us stories we want to hear. Yet there is no substance there at all.
Its like walking down a hall in a political mall. We have chosen everything we think will make us beautiful to the rest of the world and we don't care how ungly it is under the surface. But now we have the beautiful people about to take office.
We are now about to come face to face with appearance over substance. So will I give him a chance? Not on your life. Not if all he wants to do is take my sweet land of liberty and turn it into the largest socialist nation in the history of our planet. Would you give someone who wants to do that a chance?
I didn't think so. Maybe there are just enough of us out there that prefer substance over appearance. Just maybe the 57 million people who did not vote for Obama will stand up and demand that the rest of the nation stop acting like teen age girls and boys and act like grown adults that understand it their responsibility to make their lives better, not the governments.
Time to stop the whining. Time to peel back the beautiful surface and get down to the ugly truth. Its time to grow up America.
I am all grown up. Are you?

Does Obama really want to save the environment
>
The environment. That is one of the big topics on just about everyone's tongue these days. We know about the Global Warming hoax now. It is irrefutable. It is so irrefutable that it is no longer called Global Warming, it's called Man-Made Global Climate Change.
That is bad enough to deal with, but now we have President-elect Obama talking about “green” technology taking the place of oil and other fossil fuels for our energy needs. It is in his “bail-out” plan for the nation.
The problem is that Obama is willing to reduce our choices while not really improving technology for alternative fuels and energy. There is not much in there to reduce the red tape in getting alternative sources of energy on the grid. We still have environmental crap on the books that keeps even a windmill from being built.
Speaking of windmills, when it comes to choices for alternative sources of energy, we already have a ton of them. Now many of these alternatives are rather pricey on the front end, we do have those choices. Have you noticed the lack of promotion of these current and proven technologies by our government? Its because they don't do anything to “halt” the evil automobile.
Yes, you have all kinds of alternative choices for energy for your home and business. Lets see, there is geo-thermal heating for home and business. Yes, it is a proven method of heating and cooling a home and business. But do you hear our government promoting such heating and cooling systems? Now I wonder why that is.
Solar systems have come way down in cost and have gone way up in efficiency. They are still expensive to install but the payback is real, fast and significant. But do you see our government touting these systems or even using them in government buildings? No. Now why is that?
Windmills are highly efficient, well at least ultra clean ways to generate energy. So why is our government blocking wind farms from coast to coast? Oh sure, they can be noisy but no one said these farms had to be built near residences or businesses. There are a lot of wind farms in the planning stages to be located in remote areas and off shore but our government and environmental wackos are blocking them and keeping them from being built. Now why is that?
Hydro and geo energy plants are being blocked as well. We are more concerned about the fish than we are about energy. Geo energy is not viable in most parts of the country but in the areas that it is, new plants are being blocked by environmental groups. Trust me, the earth is not going to mind if we take a little of its heat and produce energy from it. But these wackos think we will harm the environment with these plants.
Instead we have our government touting things like ethanol. A fuel that has been proven to lower gas mileage in cars and trucks. Not to mention it cost a ton to produce and it takes valuable food sources off our tables and drives up the cost of corn and other food stuffs. How does that make sense?
Our government also want to ban incandescent light bulbs. True, fluorescent and other types of bulbs are more efficient than incandescent but what happened to choice? Not to mention if we actually implemented at least part of the Pickens Plan, we would take a lot of pressure off the environment but again we have government and environmental groups to thank for blocking much of this plan.
If our government was serious about conserving energy and coming up with alternatives, then why do they not use current and viable alternatives in government buildings now? Why do they not promote these alternatives by buying these green alternatives to be used by government employees? Do you see a fleet of of natural gas powered or electric powered cars in our government fleets? In fact, why don't we have a fleet of Prius cars in our government lots?
Because this environmental push has nothing to do with actually saving the environment or saving you or I money on energy. It has everything to do with controlling you and me and reducing our freedom. Seriously. When you have sources of energy that are clean and renewable already on the books and in use, why not promote them and use them? Think about it.
Then when Obama and his band of minions talk about saving the environment, ask them why we are not using any of these alternatives already. Ask them why they don't promote the use of such alternatives already. Ask them if they really want us to be energy independent or if they are just blowing smoke and making laws to control you and me. I think you will find it really is the later. Think about it.
